Join us and experience Bohinj at its most authentic and joyful. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Set against the backdrop of <strong>Ukanc<\/strong>\u2019s stunning natural beauty, the Kravji bal \u2013 Bohinj\u2019s oldest traditional event \u2013 comes to life every year. Its origins date back to the 1950s, when, at the end of the grazing and tourist season, locals, alpine herdsmen and innkeepers would come together to celebrate a successful summer. Today, the <strong>Bohinj Tourist Association<\/strong> proudly continues this tradition.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The highlight of the event is the traditional arrival of the herdsmen from the higher-lying Bohinj mountain pastures, who lead festively decorated herds of cattle down into the valley, carrying on their shoulders the famous \u2018basengo\u2019 \u2013 all the equipment needed for life and work on the mountain pastures.
