About the Association

The Bohinj Tourist Board in its current form has been shaping and supporting tourism activities in Bohinj since 1947. With 454 members, we strive to increase the visibility and organisation of Bohinj and its offers both locally and internationally. Our mission is to maintain and expand private accommodation in Bohinj, especially in cooperation with our partners, to promote cooperation between tourism stakeholders in Bohinj and to improve the overall tourism experience in the region.

Extract of the tasks and competences of the individual bodies from the Statutes of the Bohinj Tourist Board.

General Assembly

It is the highest organ of the Society and is composed of all members of the Society. The General Assembly shall be convened once a year by a representative of the Society.

Chairman

Carries out the tasks assigned by the general assembly based on the association’s rules and is accountable to it for all the work within the organization. As the president of the management board, they convene its meetings, prepare agendas, and oversee its operations.

Management Board

The Management Board is the executive body of the General Assembly and is fully accountable to it for its work and conduct. The Board operates through meetings convened and led by the president of the Management Board. The Management Board of the Tourist Association consists of 17 members, including the president and the secretary.

Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board monitors the work of all the association’s bodies, ensures the legality of adopted decisions, and continuously oversees the association’s financial and material operations.

Disciplinary Court

The Disciplinary Court consists of a president and three members. It reviews the legality of procedures and disciplinary violations committed by members and members of other bodies, and reports its work and findings to the Management Board.
