Fishing districts
District 1: Lake Bohinj
The largest natural lake in Slovenia hides in its depths native lake trout, menhaden, chub and lake goldfish – an exceptional speciality for true fishing gourmets.
District 2: Sava Bohinjka
This clear Alpine river, flowing from Lake Bohinj, is home to brown trout, grayling, rainbow trout, pike and chub. The perfect choice for salmonid fish lovers.
District 3: Mostnica
The wild mountain stream Mostnica, with its famous troughs, offers fishing in the heart of unspoilt nature. It contains brown trout, rainbow trout and grayling.

Lake Bohinj
- Day licence (catch and take): 40 €
- Youth day ticket from shore: 20 €
- 3-, 5- and 7-day passes are also available
Sava Bohinjka
- Daily licence (catch and release): 55 €
- Day licence (catch and take): 75 €
- Multi-day passes available
Mostnica + Sava Bohinjka
- Daily licence (catch and release): € 100
- Annual and multi-day licences are non-transferable and can be ordered from the Bohinj Fishing Family.
