In the Danica Hall in Bohinjska Bistrica, between April 24th and 26th, 2026 The 38th Folk Music Festival, one of the most recognizable music events in Bohinj, attracted visitors from near and far.
This year, for the first time, the event will feature a diverse three-day program, featuring performances by numerous bands, local musicians, and popular figures from the Slovenian folk music scene.
The event will be hosted by the legendary Vinko Šimek and the ever cheerful Janja Ulaga.
Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
4-hour live music program
The first evening will be marked by a veritable explosion of folk-music delight. Performing on stage will be:
- Alpine Quintet
- Namig Ensemble
- Buamteifl
- Uroš Unetič – Original Retro muzikantje
- Kunstosi
- Robert Goter Trio
- Ansambel Zupan
- Slovenian musicians.
It will be an evening when the Danica Hall breathes to the rhythm of the accordion.
Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
4-hour live music program
The second evening brings new musical forces and even more good vibes. Taking the stage are:

- Ensemble Hervol
- Ensemble Svetlin
- Guštni muzikanti
- Martin Jakopič Trio
- Pajdaši
- Zaka pa ne

Anniversary Day
The third day will be particularly festive, as the Alpine Quintet celebrates 60 years of activity!
The anniversary celebration will include:
- premiere of a documentary film marking the ensemble’s anniversary,
- 2-hour music program with Vražji muzikanti
- free goulash for visitors
- and socializing and taking photos with the jubilarians
