Sport Weekend in Bohinj : Four Brave Men Run
Join us June 6 and 7, 2026, in the heart of Triglav National Park! On Saturday, there will be a family hike around Lake Bohinj, a children’s run and fun for all ages.

In the heart of Triglav National Park, surrounded by lakes, mountains, and flowering meadows, we invite you to enjoy a unique sporting weekend experience in Bohinj.
This event combines exercise, nature, charity, and community, all as part of the 2026 International Alpine Flower Festival.
Saturday, 6 6. 2026
9:00 a.m. – Family hike around Lake Bohinj with the option of returning by sightseeing boat from Ukanc (Due to maintenance work on one of the sightseeing boats, the number of passengers will be limited—we appreciate your understanding)
12:00 do 16:00 – B.O. FEjST
13:00 Performance by the Janezi Acrobatic Group

15:00 – Children’s run
The workshop is co-financed by the Radovljica People’s University as part of the Lifelong Learning Weeks.
The first day is dedicated mainly to children and family time. Children can either run or take a walk around the lake with their parents, as well as enjoy diverse fun activities of the accompanying B.O.Fejst children’s festival
programme. Families will be able to enjoy a wide variety of fun activities—from bungee trampolines and walking on stilts to games such as dodgeball, archery, soccer, ring toss, horseshoe toss, sack races, and more.

8:00–9:00 Pick up race numbers for the 20km trail (Monument to the Four Brave Men)
8:00–10:00 Pick up race bibs for the 5K and 10K runs (Monument to the Four Brave Men)
9:30 – trail run, 20 km (behind the Jezero Hotel)
10:30 – Road race, 5 km (at the boathouse, Ribčev Laz)
10:30 – Run around the lake, 10 km (at the boathouse, Ribčev Laz)
12:30 p.m. or upon the arrival of the last runner at the finish line: Announcement of results and award ceremony (Vegelj Parking Lot, Stara Fužina)
12:00 – 4:00 Music program, family games (Vegelj, Stara Fužina)
Sunday is reserved for runners who have the courage and daring of the four brave men from Bohinj who fi rst climbed Triglav almost 250 years ago. You can choose between an 5 km, 10 km run or a 20 km “trail” race.
The Bohinj Tourist Association, Bohinj Tourism, and the Avgust Gašperin Stara Fužina Sports Association are once again organizing a two-day program this year for all ages—from the youngest participants to experienced runners. Through a wide range of activities, we want to encourage exercise in nature, people to people and respect for the environment around us.
