The Zlatorog Fairytale Trail in Bohinj is a fun, educational and creative thematic trail designed especially for families with younger children, groups of kindergartens and primary schools, as well as for the professional education of education and training staff.
Self-guided exploration for families
You are invited to follow a circular route of about 2 kilometres, which you can walk for an hour or all day. Along the way, you will be guided through the “Golden Horn Loops and Riddles” booklet, which is full of fairy tales, a map and a place to collect stamps or stickers. For bigger kids, there’s also a free Nexto app where a digital adventure awaits.

Special event: ‘Fairy tales are at home at the end of the world’
Every year in May, the Golden Horn Fairy Trail comes to life in a particularly magical way. The event “At the end of the world, fairy tales are at home” offers additional animations, themed points and fairy tale experiences for children and families. The project is a collaboration with the Bohinj Kindergarten, Tourism Bohinj and the International Alpine Flower Festival.
